Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides (PNs) are DNA-based biostimulators. Compared to hyaluronic acid based skinboosters  which provide hydration to the skin, polynucleotides act as 'food' or 'medicine' to the cells. They prompt the cells to produce collagen and elastin in a more significant way and improve the extracellular matrix, where fibroblasts live. Additionally, they have an anti-inflammatory effect, making them extremely beneficial for the skin.

MAIN BENEFITS

  • Restoring skin firmness, tone, and elasticity
  • Reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines
  • Targeting free radicals, which contribute to premature aging
  • Promoting skin tissue regeneration
  • Providing visible lift and toning in just minutes
  • Quickly tightening the skin
  • Enhancing the activity of hyaluronic acid by up to 40%
  • Suitable for both men and women of all ages and skin types
  • Combinable with other treatments to further enhance results
  • Improving oxygen and blood vessel supply in the skin
  • Maintaining optimal skin hydration
  • Targeting under-eye puffiness and dark circles

What are they good for?

Polynucleotides are like a super-charged injectable moisturising treatment, boosting collagen, hydration and elasticity in the skin. They can be used as a preventative treatment for younger skin or as a recovery treatment for ageing skin.

Polynucleotides are often used to address dark circles under the eyes and to strengthen the delicate skin around the mouth. They are a great option for patients who may not be suitable for tear trough filler or those who tend to develop puffiness with hyaluronic acid based products.

What results can you expect?

In a nutshell, you can expect reduced wrinkling and crepiness of the skin and an improvement in skin tone and hydration. Some polynucleotide products are great for calming inflammation in the skin, which can reduce the redness of rosacea for months at a time. They are also useful for improving skin condition ahead of energy-based treatments such as laser or ultrasound.
